Get VZ Navigator
On Your Phone

Step 1:
If you have not done so already, enable position location on your phone. Click here for instructions on how to enable position location: http://vznavigator.vzw.com/location.html
Step 2:
Open up the Get it Now browser by pressing the "Get it Now" arrow which is also the right navigation arrow on your handset.
Step 3:
Scroll or touch and drag to the option called "Browse & Download" (called "Tools on the Go" or "Get Going" on other phone models), and press the "OK" button.
Step 4:
A screen will pop up indicating that the browser is opening.
Step 5:
Select the option called "Browse & Shop" (called "Get New App" or "Get New" on other phone models), and press the "OK" button.
Step 6:
This will connect you to a list of applications that you can use on your phone.
Step 7:
Select VZ Navigator from the list and press the "OK" button.

Step 8:
Choose either a monthly subscription or a daily use option and press the "OK" button.

Press "OK" on the following confirmation screen and that's it! VZ Navigator will download to your phone.

Step 1:

Step 2:
Open the Web Browser on your device.

Note:
You must have VZ Navigator added to your account in order for it to work. To sign up for service, contact a VZW Representative at 1.800.2 JOIN IN or dial *611 from your Verizon Wireless phone, visit a Verizon Wireless store or visit MyAccount.
Step 3:
Click Menu and Select Bookmarks. This will take you to your Web Bookmarks.
Step 4:
Click the link "Get VZ Navigator". Follow the instructions and download VZ Navigator to your device.
Step 5:

Open VZ Navigator

  1. The screen will display: "VZ Navigator is requesting changes to its application control permissions." Select VIEW.
  2. Use the Menu key (left of the trackball) and select SAVE.
  3. The remainder of the application will download and then you will be asked to accept the End User License Agreement.
    Note:
For BlackBerry 8830 World Edition Smartphone customers you will need the application version v4.2.2.176. To determine what application version you have go to Options - About and read the 3rd line on the page. If you do not have v4.2.2.176 then you must upgrade your device. To upgrade your device please visit http://www.vzam.net/blackberry.

Open Internet Explorer on your device

Note:
You must have VZ Navigator added to your account in order for it to work. To sign up for service, contact a VZA Representative at 1.800.2 JOIN IN or dial *611 from your Verizon Wireless phone, visit a Verizon Wireless store or visit My Account.
Step 3:
Select VZ Navigator from the VZ Start home page. Follow the instructions and download the VZ Navigator application to your device.
Step 4:
The application will download. When the download is complete, start the application. You will be prompted to accept the End User License Agreement when using VZ Navigator for the first time.
    Note:
For Verizon Wireless XV6800 Smartphone customers you will need Windows Mobile 6.1 version (ROM: 3.57.605.1 / Radio: 3.37.75). To determine what application version you have go to http://support.vzw.com. If you do not have Windows Mobile 6.1 version (ROM: 3.57.605.1 / Radio: 3.37.75) then you must upgrade your device. To upgrade your device please visit http://handsets.utstar.com.
